Stand 4 Shelby is an opportunity for us to actively reach further into our city. We focus on serving our city thru multiple platforms - from local businesses to homeowners to even our local Park Departments & city workers. We want to be irrationally generous with our time & resources to make a difference for the future of our city.

PROJECT INFORMATION

BLANKETS FOR KIDS (Kid/Family ONLY)
Making fleece blankets for patients at Children's Hospitals, along with cards

BLOCK PARTY (Kid/Family Friendly)
Perform setup, preparation, & execution of a "Block Party Event" for all the families in the Dream Center neighborhood. Party will include gifts, inflatables, and lunch.

CITY CARE PACKAGES (Kid-friendly)
Baking cookies, making THANK YOU Cards, and putting together care packages for our public service folks throughout Shelby, Ontario, Plymouth, Mansfield, and beyond. This also includes a huge Teacher Appreciation project for our local schools.

FLOWERS FOR GRANDMA (Kid/Family ONLY)
Painting & decorating terracotta pots, planting small flowers in them, & attaching a balloon. Then, delivering these to residents at our local Nursing Homes. 

PUPPY PAMPERING (Kid/Family Friendly)
Make dog toys, bake dog treats, deliver to Humane Society, & visit some puppies

SHELBY PARKS (Kid Friendly 8+)
Painting playground equipment throughout Shelby parks

SUMMER LUNCH PROGRAM (Kid-friendly)
Prep meals & supplies for the summer lunch program the following week. 

SHELBY YMCA
Assisting with painting, cleaning, and other needed tasks throughout the building.

HOUSE PROJECTS - Dream Center Neighborhood
Weeding, Laying Landscaping Fabric, Trimming, Mulching, Painting, Minor Fixes, Mowing, & Laying Rocks

PRODUCE STAND
Free produce stand with fruits & vegetables available all morning to all families in need. Help carry produce to cars. Talk with families. Restock produce.

WATER & SUPPLIES CREW
Run water and supplies to project sites throughout the morning - (good for those needing a less physical opportunity)

OIL CHANGES
Change oil in cars for people in need (cars will have been signed up and materials purchased ahead of time), Check fluids, Check the air in the tires.

HAIRCUTS
Give haircuts to those in need and those waiting for their oil to be changed

DOWNTOWN WINDOW WASHING
Wash Windows for businesses downtown

DREAM CENTER REVITALIZATION
Hanging new basketball hoop backboards, installing HVAC units, painting playground equipment, installing new swings on playground, etc.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES (Kid/Family Friendly)
Stuffing school supplies in backpacks & then distributing backpacks to families in need during the Block Party

Put me on any project that could use my help. I'm willing to do anything!
